Like many people my age, I’ve spent the majority of my 20s flitting from one apartment to another. And while the locations and roommates have varied with time, one feature remains the same: a small kitchen.

When I heard that Our Place was launching miniature versions of their beloved cookware, I was intrigued. Could the Mini Always Pan and Mini Perfect Pot be the answer to my small-space woes? Here’s what you need to know about these mini-yet-mighty pieces.
What Are the Mini Always Pan and Mini Perfect Pot?
If you’ve been on social media in the past two years, you’ve seen the Always Pan. This TikTok-famous product boasts a super-slick nonstick cooking surface, built-in spoon rest and nesting basket. This piece of ceramic cookware is suitable for almost any cooking task, from sautéing to steaming. (One of our editors tried the Always Pan and loved it.)
The Perfect Pot is the Always Pan’s big sister. It features a deeper cooking surface, built-in strainer, roasting or steaming rack and notch spoon rest. This kitchen workhorse is ideal for roasting, braising and boiling, among other cooking methods.
And now, you can buy both the Always Pan and Perfect Pot in sleeker, smaller versions! These new pieces take all of the beloved features of the original cookware and shrink them down to space-saving sizes.
“We got hundreds of requests for a smaller Always Pan and Perfect Pot for studio apartments, dorm rooms, travel, and also just for something to use when you’re cooking for one,” says Shiza Shahid, co-founder of Our Place. “The minis are everything you’ve come to love about Our Place cookware, but now in a smaller size designed for versatility and convenience.”
Mini Always Pan and Mini Perfect Pot Features
The Mini Always Pan and Mini Perfect Pot keep all of the features we know and love from the originals. That means they’re made of non-toxic, nonstick ceramic. They’re also easy to clean and available in a range of beautiful colors. At launch, choose from six core colors: spice, steam, blue salt, char, sage and lavender.
Mini Always Pan
The Mini Always Pan comes in at 16.9 inches long (including the handle), 8.5 inches wide and 5 inches high with the lid on. It holds 1.2 quarts of food, which is less than half of the original pan’s 2.6-quart capacity. It’s the ideal size for whipping up dinner for two. Or, use it as a complement to your existing cookware. The Mini Always Pan is perfect for frying an egg to top a hash, sautéing veggies for a side dish or warming up tortillas for taco night.
Mini Perfect Pot
The Mini Perfect Pot has similar dimensions to the Mini Always Pan, but it’s a little deeper. It measures 16.9 inches long (including the handle), 8.5 inches wide and 6.7 inches high with the lid on. It holds 2.5 quarts of your favorite dish. For contrast, the original Perfect Pot holds 5.5 quarts. We’re already looking forward to dishing up cozy soups for two and small-batch pasta dishes this fall. And, just like the Mini Always Pan, this beauty is just as much a helpmate to your existing cookware as it is a stand-alone option. The small size works beautifully for steaming broccoli, warming up a sauce and other secondary cooking tasks.
